Desserts of Japan

Here are some special desserts from Japan. Ohagi is oval. It contains
red bean and rice mix. Some may have sesame seeds on them. The white
oval is Daihuku-Mochi. It has red beans on the surface of mochi. Manju
is round and was imported from China. The last one is Monaca is crunchy
on the outside and has sweet beans on the inside. This one is a tradition
from the Edo period.

Bamboo in Izu

These pictures were taken in Izu in a bamboo grove. Bamboo shoots are

Cake Shop, Comics, Tea, Onsen & Sakura

1. Cake Shop – Most items in the cake shop are filled with red bean paste
because Japanese kids like red bean paste.
2. Comics – Comics originated from Japan. It is made up of boxes of
shapes and sizes with pictures, speech bubbles and thinking bubbles.
3. Japanese Tea – Japanese tea was a very common beverage of ancient
Japan and it is still very popular today.
4. Onsen – The onsen is a Japanese hot spring. It is very relaxing for the
body.
5.. Sakura – The sakura tree is a tree that is native to Japan. It blooms
for a short time once every year.

adults.

Yakitori – Yakitori is grilled chicken on a stick. It is a very common

Fish of Japan

Fish is very special to Japan because it's one of the only places that
eats raw fish. Some of these pictures were taken at the Tsukiji Fish
Market in Tokyo and the others were taken at SOGO.
